Special edition of 80's HADES - Irish 80's bands [Mar. 11th, 2007|11:24 pm]
The Eighties -- 80s Music

incorruptibles
Yes, as unoriginal as it is, we are finally doing a vaguely Irish-themed St. Patrick's Day show on 80's HADES this coming Friday, March 16. Thus, I am desperate for music by Irish pop/rock/punk bands of the late 70's and 80's (roughly 1976-1989).

Clicky-clicky if you want to be a part of history...Collapse )

Crossposted to 80s_tunes...sorry if you've seen it twice!

Pimping a friend's new music comm: blackwaltzes

Music for the moody, the melancholy, and the macabre

Thought it would appeal to the Goths among us. :)

Does anyone have an mp3 of "You're the Best" by Joe Esposito from "The Karate Kid" soundtrack? I'd really appreciate it.

In response to a request from halfdutch, I bring good tidings...and "Winter Wonderland" by the Cocteau Twins (YouSendIt, MP3).

I'm always looking for Christmas songs from the 80's (the more obscure, the better), so if anyone's got anything interesting, feel free to post it!

Do you like New Wave?

Please try these songs. They're from a lost-down-the-back-of-the-sofa-of-music album from 1982 and I think they're AMAZING, especially 'Delta Sleep'.

Trees - India
Trees - Red Car
Trees - Delta Sleep

Thank you.

Hello.

I have a request. I've been looking for "Computer Games" by Mi-Sex for quite sometime now. iTunes doesn't have it, and I can't find it anywhere else on the net. Is it some kind of rare song or something? Anyway, would anyone be able to upload the mp3 for me please? I'd be ever so grateful!

Thanks. :)

The Police: Does Everyone Stare [Aug. 4th, 2006|10:09 pm]
The Eighties -- 80s Music

halfdutch
Last night I got to go see the new Police documentary, Does Everyone Stare by Stewart Copeland, taken from the home movies he shot of the band on tour from the late '70s to 1983.

The documentary is airing Saturday night on Showtime and will be on DVD soon.

Some of my favorite stories from the eveningCollapse )

And now some songs since all I wanted to do was come home and listen to the Police nonstop:

A derangement: Demolition Man (Got this thanks to audiography.)

Does Everyone Stare

Man in a Suitcase

Canary in a Coal Mine

And lastly, because obviously I am on a kick, I did some screencaps of The Police video collection and made some icons and icon bases:
